Currently. I’m sitting at work. And it dawned on me. I should start interviewing people. I think it could be really interesting. And anything I can do to get some followers. I’m down for.
I was thinking of a few different things. I’d like to interview bands obviously. I’d like to sort of document life touring for myself and for bands I admire. I don’t really like the approach of getting a press pass and talking backstage. It’s too…rockstarish. I’d like to interview bands staying at my house. Talk less about influence. How the band started. Etc. And cover more personal things. Highs and lows of that current tour. Favorite cities. Things more interesting than something in Spin or Rolling Stone.
I’d also like to interview restaurant owners and employees. I think I’m going to start with wolf and bears. It’s a middle eastern food cart on se Morrison and 20th ave in Portland. I’ve recently become addicted to their traditional breakfast wraps. And after some pleasantries. I think there’s more to the cart and the family.
Another would be scapegoat tattoo. I recently got my arm worked on so I’d like to interview john, the apprentice artist who tattooed me and his brother, the owner, brian.
